For Muslims, it means what the sword of King Arthur means – for the people of Britain. According to Islamic tradition, after the death of Muhammad, the sword went to Ali ibn Abu Talib, the son-in-law of the prophet, who was the first and only legitimate successor of Muhammad – the caliph (from the point of view of Shiite Muslims).
Both patterned steel blades are attached to each other by rivets in the form of Islamic stars. The blades are folded on top of each other, blade to blade and in this position are put into a sheath with a metal device. When you take it out of its scabbard, the blades spring and clink against each other, sparkling with gold ornaments. This is an unusually mesmerizing sight and, of course, evidence that the decorated edged weapon in the hands of the master becomes truly a work of art!
