Sheikh Zayed was the youngest of the sons of Sheikh Sultan, who ruled in the principality of Abu Dhabi in 1922-1926. When Sheikh Sultan died, Sheikh Zayed was only eight years old, and he had to wander a lot on the Arabian Peninsula. When Sheikh Zayed was born, Abu Dhabi was one of seven areas along the lower coast of the Persian Gulf which were under the rule of the sheikhs. The territories were in contractual relations with Great Britain, having signed a number of agreements with it at the end of the XIXth century. While he was growing, there was not a single school on the coast in the modern sense of the word. Sheikh Zayed got an elementary education based on Islamic principles. He lived in the desert with the Bedouin tribes, becoming acquainted with the life of these people. He learned about their traditions and amazing ability to survive in harsh conditions.
The knife is packed in a stylish wooden gift package.
