Author’s design. Handmade table bell is made by Ural masters from Zlatoust. The city has an unusual location. It is located in the Ural Mountains, the most ancient mountains of the planet. 55 kilometers from the city is the most ancient mountain of the planet “Karandash”. According to preliminary estimates, its age is 4.2 billion years (for comparison: the age of the earth is approximately 4.6 billion). It is the Ural Mountains that divide the continent into Europe and Asia. Zlatoust is one of the highest mountain cities in the Urals, residential districts are located at an altitude of 400-600 m from sea level. The city is located on the border of Europe and Asia.
The bell is decorated in the traditions of the art of Zlatoust metal engraving. The base is made of natural Ural jasper stone. Stone formation originates many millions of years ago. In those days, the Urals had a warm sea and active volcanoes. Volcanic ash mixed with colored silt. The stone base is mounted on a cast metal platform decorated with hand-engraved patterns. The base has a button and a metal bell. It is set in motion by pressing a button and drives the “tongue” of the bell. The surface of the bell is carved by the craftsman manually using a cutter. He has to work using a microscope, it is a delicate and painstaking work requiring concentration and patience. All metal surfaces of the case are plated with nickel and gold.
