This saber can be a great addition to your weapon collection or be the first in your friend’s collection.
Since the beginning of the XIXth century, weapon makers have been manufacturing premium weapons for special occasions and awards at the Arms Factory in Zlatoust. Weapon decoration reached such a level that a special technique of Zlatoust metal engraving emerged. For the second century in a row, it is an independent form of Russian art.
The saber is a handmade example in the traditional technique of Zlatoust metal engraving and is an original handmade item. The blade is made of high-quality knife steel. It is decorated with gold floral ornaments. The hilt crosses onto the blade. Therefore, the scabbard of complex shape has a groove for docking with the crosspiece. The scabbard itself is made of metal. It has a pattern made using such artistic operations as hand engraving, gilding, nickel plating, and inlaid with jewelry stones. The hilt is made of wood. The top of the hilt has a rounding and a hole for attaching a leather lanyard.
The saber is completed with a gift case made of wood. The case is upholstered in soft velvet inside. It will keep the saber for many years.
