The team of masters from the famous Zlatoust does not cease to please with new ideas and fantastically beautiful works. A handmade malachite casket decorated with stones and precious metal.
To create the casket, the craftsmen used semiprecious malachite stone. Today, it is extracted in Africa and then delivered to Russia for the manufacture of decor items. Until that time, malachite was mined in the Urals, near Zlatoust. Our masters are skilled in the processing of malachite for more than one hundred years. The surface of the casket, as well as the legs are made of metal. Pads have complex shapes. This was made possible thanks to manual cutting of metal. The master manually cuts out all the curls, after which the details are polished. In addition to the cut, the master engraver cuts a relief pattern on the metal surface. The work is painstaking and delicate, since the pattern details are small in size; they have to work using a microscope. Further, all the metal elements of the casket are plated with nickel and gold. The final stage is the inlay of stones. The lid is strewn with stones of different shapes and sizes. The casket conveys the beauty and richness of the nature of Russia described in the tales of Pavel Petrovich Bazhov.
The casket is placed in a gift wooden box.
