Damask steel blade is made by alloying metal packets. The knife hilt is cast and carved from blue resin. Resin is difficult to process, it quickly clogs pores in abrasive tools. Thus preventing it from machining. But falling into the hands of talented Zlatoust masters, we get an amazing hilt, polished to a shine with a deep, cosmic pattern. All-metal scabbard provides for superior grip and ease of carrying. The scabbard is decorated with handmade engraving. The master cuts a thin layer of metal from the scabbard surface creating a unique pattern on them. He has to work using a microscope, it is a delicate and painstaking work requiring concentration and patience.
