A knife with a pronounced bend towards the butt. All-metal scabbard of the knife is decorated using the Zlatoust metal engraving technique. For the second century in a row, the Zlatoust metal engraving is an original and rare kind of Russian craft. It originated at the beginning of the XIXth century as a way of decorating author’s edged weapons manufactured at the Armory based on the decree of Tsar Alexander I. Made by hand, the knife is suitable both for its intended purpose and for decorating the interior.
The blade is made of damask steel and covered with an ornament of pure gold. The knife hilt is cast and carved from blue resin. Resin is difficult to process, it quickly clogs pores in abrasive tools. Thus preventing its machining. But from the hands of the Zlatoust masters, we will definitely get an amazing hilt polished to a shine with a deep, sometimes even cosmic pattern.
Masters of Zlatoust are suppliers of souvenir samples of edged weapons, designer dishes and decorative elements for the main residence of the President of Russia, the Moscow Kremlin.
The knife is packed in a stylish wooden box and is ready for gifting.
