Handmade nephrite cup

This cup is made of noble nephrite which from ancient times was called the stone of heaven and earth, wisdom and eternity. More than 2 thousand years ago, the great Chinese thinker Confucius noted the value of nephrite as a symbol of virtue. It was in China where the level of nephrite processing reached unprecedented heights: insignia of the nobles, magnificent carvings (vases, table sculpture), household and religious items, and various ornaments were cut out of this stone. The cup is decorated with metal plates with engraved patterns, inlaid with jewelry stones.
