Themis – in ancient Greek mythology, the goddess of justice, the Titanide, the second wife of Zeus (among the Romans – Justice). It is depicted with a blindfold, scales and a sword in her hands. Allegorically Themis means justice, law; the scales of Themis is a symbol of justice; servants (priests) of Themis are servants of the law, judges.
The plate with the artistic image of the goddess of justice, made in the style of the Zlatoust engraving on metal, is a decorated item practically not affected by time. The technological process of manufacturing and decorating metal products has not changed much for more than 200 years since the inception of the art of metal engraving.
