The dagger is a very ancient weapon; the first daggers were made of wood and bone, and later of copper. In close combat, warriors used a small and light dagger as a secondary weapon, in addition to the main one, a large and heavy two-handed weapons.
The “Oriental” dagger is modeled on the Persian dagger which is a souvenier weapon with a short, curved double-edged blade. Structurally, Persian daggers are similar to Turkish, but they are more elegant and slightly smaller in size.
Many men, especially military men, representatives of law enforcement agencies, or people with oriental origins, will be pleased to receive a gift, instead of a banal “present”, symbolizing their charisma, strength, fearlessness and reliability. Such an item, of course, will serve as a reflection of the special character traits of its owner.
