These two dishes are for the same purpose to keep the caviar fresh and decorate the table. The bowls of both caviar dishes are made of nephrite. Exquisite spoons have inlaid nephrite cabochons. The metal elements are decorated with hand-made patterns by the master engraver.
Since ancient times, nephrite was called the stone of heaven and earth, wisdom and eternity. More than 2 thousand years ago, the great Chinese thinker Confucius noted the value of nephrite as a symbol of virtue.
