The author’s dirk is a work of decorative and applied art and is made in the art style of the Zlatoust metal engraving. The blade of dark damask steel ZD-0803 is the best suited to the dirk image. Unusual design of both the dirk itself and the scabbard gives originality to the product. The hilt is made of ebony with overlays in the form of sails and guiding stars. Plastic in its shape, the guard and the back of the dirk are decorated with black and white pearls which is an integral part of the whole composition. Moreover, pearls are fixed so finely that they are open to viewing from all sides. Diamonds decorating the stars on the hilt organically fit into the product.
The scabbard is decorated with delicate ornaments and overlays that are interesting in their plasticity, seeming to wrap around the scabbard. Instead of the usual rings for fastening, a perforated plate is used, which goes great with the general dirk decor
