Souvenir egg – Deers

This item is a souvenir egg with ancient symbolism depicting a world tree, where birds live in the upper world in the crown of the tree, and deer, totemic creatures protecting the Slavic family live in the middle world. In the mythology of many peoples, heavenly deers are the progenitors of the human race. Artists combined two well-known traditions in one product – the Zlatoust art of metal engraving and the ancient art of Slavic pysanka (painting on egg).

Symbols of the sun emphasize the beauty of the “Deers” souvenir egg – this is a rosette on the upper part and leg of the egg, symbols of the infinity of life – waves, meanders in the upper, lower part of the egg, as well as on the leg. In addition, the upper and middle world, in which birds, animals and people live, is enclosed in a repeating geometric ornament, where rhombs symbolize protection for the home, and the points inside the windows are the seeds of a new life.
