A knife with the charisma of a wild leopard (panther). It decorates all-metal scabbard. Leopard is a heraldic symbol of courage and bravery. English military emblem. Applying a pattern on metal became possible thanks to the technique of Zlatoust metal engraving. For the second century in a row, this technique is an original and rare kind of Russian craft. It was born at the beginning of the 19th century as a way of decorating author’s edged weapons made at the Armory founded by decree of Tsar Alexander I.
The blade is forged of damask steel made by alloying metal packets.
Thanks to the skillful decor, his knife is of collectible and artistic value. Over time, it will have antique value as well.
