The dirk is made by Russian weapon makers from Zlatoust. Since 1815, Zlatoust weapon makers have been making weapons for the army and navy. A distinctive feature is the manufacture of exclusive decorated weapons.
The dirk, as an example of a cold-piercing weapon, has been symbolizing valor, the ability to protect and leadership for several centuries. Thanks to the skillful decor, this dirk is an elegant interior accessory and a symbol of the owner’s charisma.
High-alloy knife steel is used to make the dagger. The blade surface is decorated with a pattern of pure gold. Leather sheathed metal scabbard provides superior grip and ease of carrying. It has harness rings. To decorate metal elements of the holt, blade and scabbard, the technique of Zlatoust engraving on metal was used. For the second century in a row, the Zlatoust metal engraving is an original and rare kind of Russian craft. It was born at the beginning of the 19th century as a way of decorating author’s edged weapons made at the Armory founded by decree of Tsar Alexander I.
The dirk is laid in a stylish wooden box.
