We used to see the image of a snake with a cup in medicine. The first images of this symbol date back 800-600 BC. But in those days the snake and the cup existed separately. The emblem with a combination of a bowl and a snake was proposed in the 16th century by the famous doctor Paracelsus.
The snake symbolizes wisdom, knowledge, longevity and eternal youth – the annual change of the skin symbolized rejuvenation.
An amazing fact, if you look into the bowl from above, then on the spherical bottom of the bowl the cobra head will be reflected, creating a three-dimensional illusion of a smoothly moving golden snake.
This handwork is distinguished by a complex technique of pattern making using carving, casting, nickel plating and gilding. The jeweler highlighted the cobra’s eyes with inlaid green phianites.
The cup is packed in a classic stylish box made of wood and is ready for gifting. The cup will be highly appreciated in the medical field.
